A new typist is employed, Poppy Sellers, and Mr Dersingham invites Mr Golspie to a black tie dinner party at his home. The firm angdl struggling: Golspie has swindled them all and fled; the firm faces inevitable bankruptcy very soon.

Having a teenage son myself who is surly and spotty and girl mad I felt particularly for the lonely Turgis.
